Panasonic have just announced that the long-awaited GH6 mirrorless camera is currently in development and will be available by the end of 2021.
Panasonic are splitting the GH-series into two, with the flagship GH6 targeted at professional videographers and the new GH5M2 that was also announced today aimed more at vloggers.
The GH6 will have a new high-speed sensor and a new Venus engine image processor, and will offer unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit Cinema 4K/60p video recording.
In addition, the GH6 will record 5. 7K 60p video and support 10-bit 4K 120p High Frame Rate (HFR) and Variable Frame Rate (VFR) recording.
As well as announcing the GH6, a new Leica DG 25-50mm F1. 7 zoom lens is also under development, which will join the existing Leica DG 10-25mm F1. 7 optic. No release date has yet been set for this.
