The world of analog film photography is one currently experiencing a Renaissance; and at the forefront of it is Kodak film. Kodak is the last big company producing film that hasn't cut emulsions but instead is bringing out new ones.
The Pentax K1 Mk II was launched in March of 2018 with little fanfare. Its predecessor the K1 launched in 2016 and made much more of an impact due to the fact that it was Pentax's first Full Frame DSLR.
Recently at WPPI 2019, we had the chance to use the new Panasonic 70-200mm f4 OIS lens for the new L mount cameras. We tested it on a shoot-ready pre-production version of the Panasonic S1; but it will work with any L mount camera like a Leica SL series for example.

Last week, after much anticipation, I received back my first rolls of the new Kodak Ektachrome 100, exposed in Chicago over the Christmas holiday (thanks to Denver Digital Imaging Center). After all the hype and fanfare surrounding Kodak releasing a new chrome film this far into the alleged afterlife of film, I was excited to […]

Those who follow my work know that I consider myself a large format photographer. I will photograph with a medium format camera, particularly when I’m trying to save weight on a backpacking trip or save time when I’m teaching a photography workshop, but 35mm has been somewhat shunned in my arsenal, being a format I […]
While some photographers look at Lomography as a reseller due to their rebadging of certain film emulsions, I don't think that one can question just how much they've done for the analog film photography movement.
With the Canon EOS R, we've found that the RAW files in Capture One 12 are surprisingly robust and yet even more capable than they are in Lightroom. Personally speaking, I bought the Canon EOS R because of both the lenses and how it renders skin tones.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated cameras for many photographers could be the new Mint InstantKon RF70. I've personally wanted a camera that could shoot Fujifilm Instax Wide emulsions and give me full manual controls for many years.
The previously stated sentence is one that I've had in my mind for quite some time now; as I genuinely have been mulling over about the new MiNT InstantKon RF70. This is the first camera to give the photographer full control over the shutter speed and the aperture in addition to providing the photographer with a working meter and using Instax Wide film.

MOAB Moenkopi Washi Kozo 110 paper is classified under the company's specialty paper, and it honestly has me scratching my head in some ways while being very impressed in other ways. The paper is designed for fine art photographers and is a matte paper with a pretty unique look to it in some ways that you only realize when lit just right.

DPReview has completed their review of Canon’s smallest DSLR, the EOS Rebel SL2. DPRewview referred to the SL2 as the Toyota Camry of DSLRs, which after having a Camry as a rental recently, I’m not sure that’s a good thing.
The-Digital-Picture has completed their review of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, and came away pretty impressed overall.
