CIPA Global Camera Sales Numbers for March 2018 Released

CIPA has released the camera shipment numbers for March 2018 today and there are some interesting things going on with ILC’s. Canon News has done their usual great breakdown of the numbers, so I don’t really need to do the same thing.

The Final Camera Shipment Numbers for 2017 Are In

The final camera shipment numbers for 2017 are in and the year may show we’ve bottomed out in total shipments. 2017 saw an increase in total camera shipments, though 2016 was affected by the Kumamoto earthquake which caused supply chain issues for a lot of manufacturers.

Modest Growth in Camera Sales According to CIPA

CIPA has released their sales numbers for the first quarter of 2017 and the news is better than we’ve seen over the last couple of years. The sales if interchangeable lens cameras (Mirrorless & DSLR) saw a 6% increase over the same quarter in 2016.
