I just got this from a source who shared three correct rumors in the past: “a9 is not a high megapixel camera. The number of pixels is saved, it will become a camera with high speed AF, high-speed continuous shooting, high ISO sensitivity.
I got two messages from two new sources. I am posting this in the hope trusted sources can confirm it: Both new sources said Sony is planning a major announcement for the second half of March. They both added that there will be a new Sony camera (but they don’t know yet what it is).
Cinema5D interviewed a Fuji manager whom confirmed that the next generation 44x33mm Sony sensor will likely have 100+ Megapixel and 4K video recording support. So while the next generation Full Frame sensor could have around 70 Megapixel the 44x33mm medium format sensor will have 30% higher resolution compared to FF.
