The following rumor has been shared to me by an Japanese source who claims to be very close to Sony retailers. I chatted a lot with him and while this is the firts time he shares a rumor he seems to be a honest and genuine guy.
Source 1: Sony will release an APS-C sized fixed lens camera in 2017 called RX5. It’s like a crossbreed of the A6500 and the RX1R II. A6500 sensor, touchscreen and connectivity, RX1R II EVF, body and shutter.

Egami spotted a Tamron lens design patent. Teh design and the specs are exactly the ones of the Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2. 8 lens. So it looks like Tamron designed that Zeiss lens too (yes also may other Zeiss lenses have a Tamron design).
At minute 2:00 of that interview with a Samyang manager we get the information that Samyang will release one or two wide angle autofocus FE lenses in 2017. Those are their current two FE autofocus lenses: 14mm f/2.

Two weeks ago we told you Sony has one more “big” E-mount announcement. And than we got the rumor that this might be for the new FS7II E-mount video camera. Well our rumors were spot on as the camera just got listed at Creativeventures! The FS7 mark II will be announced on November 11.
Jeff Remas was ready to buy the new Sony A99II but changed his mind after a conversation with a Sony manager. Jeff needs a camera with dual card slot and the Sony manager told him that such a camera is on Sony’s roadmap.

A rumor on Diyphotography hinted about the possibility that Sigma may quit their A-mount lens production: “According to our source, Sony makes a fraction of the business for Sigma. They also note that Sigma wants more focus in their factories on their cine line, and resources are shifting.
